So this was the "take it easy" page that sorta got out of hand... oh wellz. I probably won't do too many future ones in color - its just too time consuming given my current schedule.

Yes, this is a blatant parody of Rurouni Kenshin. If you haven't seen or heard of Rurouni Kenshin don't walk, run out and either rent or buy some of the episodes - it IS the best samurai anime ever created. Click here for a good explanation of the original version of the Ouki Ama-Kakeru-Buta-No-Hirameki (Heaven's Soaring Piggy Flash). The dialogue is sorta taken from the famous final fight between Kenshin and Aoshi.

The Rhinoceros is inspired by Gennosuke the Bounty Hunter. He's a character in the very excellent Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai. The character design again is a sort of hybrid of Amidamaru from Shaman King.

Linna's reference to Angel City sorta means that the story will probably start moving again.
